What is Rust?

You must craft tools, build a base and survive against the environment, and the biggest threat of all, other players. Rust is famous for its shoot first, ask questions later gameplay, spotting another player is rarely a good thing, and usually ends in a fire-fight for your life.

Building & Raiding

Building bases is the most important part of Rust, and the most fun. There's a huge amount of customization available, you might start with a wooden shack, and then progress to stone, metal and armored walls. You can rig your base with traps to protect your loot, set up automatic turrets to defend it while you're offline, and even install CCTV that alerts you the moment someone starts a raid. Huge fortress battles often play out in Rust, where teams of other players battle with opposing teams to raid their fortress bases, and steal their loot.

Modding & Plugins

Wipes and Maps

On the first Thursday of every month, Rust servers are wiped, meaning all player progress is reset. This is done to prevent other players from having an unfair advantage, and levels the playing field for everyone. As well as the monthly wipe, you can schedule your own more frequent wipes directly from the Cybrancee game hosting panel. There are two main types of wipe to choose from. A map wipe regenerates the world with a fresh seed and clears every structure and item on the server, but players keep the blueprints they've already learned. A full wipe (Blueprints) does everything a map wipe does as well as resetting learned blueprints, so everyone starts completely from scratch with nothing unlocked.
