How to make a player OP (Operator) in Minecraft

There are two ways you can do this in Minecraft, the first method is by making the player OP in game, or you can use the Pterodactyl panel console. This guide also shows you how to “deop” a player.

Making a Player OP In-Game

1. Open the Chat Window by Selecting ‘t’

2. Type Into the Chat Box

Type /op <playername>. Where player name is the player you want to make OP. For example: /op CybranceeSupport

Removing a Player as OP In-Game

1. Open the Chat Window by Pressing ‘t’

2. Type Into the Chat Box

Type /deop <playername>. Where player name is the player you want to remove as OP. For example: /deop CybranceeSupport

1. Open the Pterodactyl panel console page

2. Run the following command:

Type op <playername>. Where player name is the player you want to make OP. For example: op CybranceeSupport

Removing a player as OP using the panel:
