How to Connect a Domain (Cloudflare) to a Minecraft Server

This guide will show you how to set up your domain so that players can use a domain to join your Minecraft server.

This specific guide will explain the process on Cloudflare. To view our non-Cloudflare article, please go here: https://cybrancee.com/learn/knowledge-base/how-to-connect-a-domain-to-a-minecraft-server/

We will be using the domain “cybrancee.xyz” throughout the article – simply change this domain to your domain when applying the settings.

1. Log into your Cloudflare DNS panel.

2. Create a new A record. This A record should point to your Minecraft server IP address.

3. Create a new SRV record. This record will point to your domain and the port of your Minecraft server. Once all of the values have been entered, press “Save”.

4. This change may take some time to be recognised by your Minecraft server. This is called “Propagation”. In the meantime, you can open up Minecraft and add it to your server list.
