How to Make Your V Rising Server Public or Private Via ServerHostSettings.json

Note:

There are mainly 2 ways to make your server public: first, by removing your password; and second, by editing the game’s “ServerHostSettings.JSON” file and changing the “listonsteam” & “listenEOS” values to true. Here, we will focus on the second method.

1. Log in to Your Panel

2. Stop Your Server

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3.1) Scroll down the Sidebar until you find the Files Tab.

3.2) Locate the ‘VRisingServer_Data’ file. Proceed to open it.

3.3) Locate the ‘StreamingAssets’ file. Proceed to open it.

3.4) Locate the ‘Settings’ file. Proceed to open it.

3.5) Locate the ‘ServerHostSettings.json’ file. Proceed to open it.

3.6) Locate the 2 Phrases Highlighted Below in the ‘ServerHostSettings.json’ File

4. Replace the Values of the 2 Highlighted Phrases Below Accordingly

“PRIVATE SERVER”

OR

“PUBLIC SERVER”

5. Save the Newly Made Changes

Use the highlighted button to do so.
