How to change the Simulation Distance on your minecraft server

Not all versions of Minecraft have this parameter. You may find that it is missing on older version.

1. Log into your Pterodactyl panel and open your Minecraft server

2. Go to the Properties tab

3. Find the “Simulation-distance” input field and change it to a value that works for you.

NOTE: Setting your simulation-distance too high can result in high CPU usage due to the high number of chunks that can render in and be simulated.

Press save to apply the changes.
