How To Change the Save Name on Your V Rising Server via ServerHostSettings.json

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Stop Your Server


3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

Scroll down the Sidebar until you find the Files Tab.

4. Locate the ‘ServerHostSettings.json‘ File

Navigate to: save-data/Settings/ServerHostSettings.json

ServerHostSettings.json file in the File Manager

It should look like this:

5. Locate the Phrase Highlighted Below in the ‘ServerGameSettings.json’ File

Locate the "SaveName" within the file.

SaveName value in ServerHostSettings.json

6. Replace the Values of the Highlighted Phrase Below Accordingly

world1: Uses the existing world named “world1”.

SaveName value in ServerHostSettings.json

OR

MyPvEServer: Loads or creates a world using the name “MyPvEServer”.

Modified SaveName value to MyPvEServer in ServerHostSettings.json

OR

NewWorld: Creates a new save if no existing world uses this name.

Modified SaveName value to NewWorld in ServerHostSettings.json

7. Save the Newly Made Changes

Use the highlighted button to do so.


8. Restart Your Server and Game
