How To Change the Save Name on Your V Rising Server via ServerHostSettings.json

Note:

The variable “Save Name” is responsible for determining the directory and filename where the data from the V Rising game world is saved. In the event of changing this variable, the server would be required to search for a save directory that does not correspond with the default one.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Stop Your Server

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

Scroll down the Sidebar until you find the Files Tab.

4. Locate the ‘ServerHostSettings.json‘ File

Navigate to: save-data/Settings/ServerHostSettings.json

It should look like this:

5. Locate the Phrase Highlighted Below in the ‘ServerGameSettings.json’ File

Locate the "SaveName" within the file.

6. Replace the Values of the Highlighted Phrase Below Accordingly

“world1“: Uses the existing world named “world1”.

OR

“MyPvEServer“: Loads or creates a world using the name “MyPvEServer”.

OR

“NewWorld“: Creates a new save if no existing world uses this name.

7. Save the Newly Made Changes

Use the highlighted button to do so.
