How Reveal the Map on Your Project Zomboid Server (B41/B42)

Important!

In this article, we will explain how to enable map reveal as well as how to enable the minimap on your Project Zomboid server.

Please note that in already started games, changing map reveal may not work for all cases.

1. Open Project Zomboid

2. Select the ‘Files’ tab

3. Locate the ‘Server’ Folder

You can find the folder in /home/container/.cache/Server.

4. Select the ‘SandboxVars’ File

5. Locate the ‘Map’ Section

You can find the Map section starting from line 779 within the file.

(1) Set the ‘AllowMiniMap’ option to ‘true’: This option enables the minimap in the bottom right corner of the screen.

(2) Set the ‘MapAllKnown‘ option to ‘true’: This option reveals the entire map from the beginning of the game.

Then, save the changes:
