How To Change the Day and Night Cycle on Your Space Engineers Server

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Select the ‘Saves’ Folder

5. Select the ‘World’ Folder

6. Inside the ‘World’ Folder, Select the ‘Sandbox_config.sbc‘ File

7. Adjust the Sun Rotation

Scroll through the file or use Ctrl + F to find the <SunRotationIntervalMinutes> tag.

The number between the tags represents how many real-world minutes it takes for one full in-game day (a complete rotation of the sun) to finish.

The default value is usually 120 (two hours). Change this number to your desired length. For example, changing the line to :

<SunRotationIntervalMinutes>240</SunRotationIntervalMinutes>

This will make a single in-game day last for four real-world hours.

Note: Ensure the <EnableSunRotation> tag is set to true, otherwise the sun will stay frozen in place.

8. Save the Changes
