How To Stop Players From Downloading Server Files on Your Left 4 Dead 2 Server

Important!

Disabling server downloads will also prevent players from downloading custom maps directly from your server. If your server runs custom add-on campaigns, players will automatically be disconnected when trying to join unless they already have the map installed. If you host custom maps, you should leave this enabled or set up a FastDL (Fast Download) server instead!

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Select the ‘cfg’ Folder

5. Select the ‘server.cfg‘ File

6. Add the Download Restriction Command

Scroll to the bottom of the document on a new, empty line, and type the following exact command:

sv_allowdownload 0

7. Select the ‘Save Content’ Button

8. Restart Your Server
