How To Disable Target Lock on Your Space Engineers Server

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Select the ‘config’ Folder

4. Select the ‘Saves’ Folder

5. Select the ‘World’ Folder

6. Inside the ‘World’ Folder, Select the ‘Sandbox_config.sbc‘ File

7. Configure the Target Lock Setting

Scroll through the file or use Ctrl + F to locate the <EnableTargetLocking> tag.

To Disable Target Lock (Hardcore PvP): Change the value so the line reads exactly <EnableTargetLocking>false</EnableTargetLocking>. Players will now have to manually track and aim at all targets.

To Enable Target Lock (Casual Combat): Change the value to true so the line reads <EnableTargetLocking>true</EnableTargetLocking>

Note: If your configuration file does not have this tag, simply scroll down to the bottom of the <Settings> section and type <EnableTargetLocking>false</EnableTargetLocking> right above the closing </Settings> tag.

8. Save the Changes


9. Restart Your Server
