How To Change the Team Kill Forgiveness Timer on Your Insurgency Sandstorm Server

Note:

Before editing, make sure your server is offline so your changes aren’t overwritten. If your Game.ini is empty, you must include the Section Header (the text in brackets) for the commands to work. If the header already exists in your file, add the command directly underneath it instead of duplicating the header.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Stop Your Server

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘Game.ini’ file

Navigate to:

Insurgency/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/

5. Edit the ‘Game.ini’ File

Configuration Element	Exact Code	Notes
Header Section	[/Script/Insurgency.INSGameMode]	Ensure this is at the top of the block. Do not duplicate if it already exists.
Command Line	TeamKillReduceTime=120	Place directly under the header. This defines the duration (in seconds) required to reduce a player’s team kill count by one.

You can increase this number if you want penalties to stick with careless players longer, or lower it for a more forgiving environment
