How to Fix the ‘Failed to Check Session Lock’ Error on a Minecraft Server

1. Log In to Your Panel

Navigate to the Cybrancee Panel and log in to your account.

2. Stop Your Server

Stop your server before we make any changes.

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

Select the ‘Files’ tab from the left sidebar.

4. Open the Affected World Folder

Locate and open the world folder shown in the session lock error. The Overworld folder is by default named world, with the Nether and End regions being world_nether and world_the_end.

5. Delete the ‘session.lock‘ File

Locate and delete the ‘session.lock‘ file inside the affected world folder. The file is used by Minecraft to prevent other server processes from accessing the same world at once, but can sometimes malfunction, causing the error.

6. Start Your Server

Select the ‘Start’ button to start your server.
