How to Enable Hardmode on Your Terraria Server

Note: When you enable hardmode, stronger enemies will spawn, new biomes will spread, and advanced ores will generate across your world. We recommend creating a server backup before proceeding.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Console’ Tab

From the left navigation menu, select the ‘Console’ tab to access your server’s live command line and dashboard.

3. Check Server Status

Check your server status on the console dashboard to ensure your server is initialized before executing server commands.

4. Access the Console Command Field

Scroll down to the bottom of the console window and locate the command input field marked ‘Type a command…’ .

5. Execute the Command to Enable Hardmode

In the command field, type hardmode and press enter on your keyboard to enable hardmode on your active world.

6. Verify the Console Output

Check the console log to confirm that the server successfully acknowledged and activated Hardmode for your world.

7. Save Server Progress

Type save in the console input field and press enter to ensure your world state and Hardmode progress are saved to disk.

8. Restart Your Server

Click the ‘Restart’ button on the server console to apply all world updates and refresh your server connection.
