How to Change the Day/Night Cycle Speed on Your V Rising Server

Note:

Values with high magnitude cause time to progress slowly, while lower magnitudes make it move faster. This does not affect the performance of the server, but only refers to the time within the game. It simply means that the time of day and night will be maintained.

1. Log in to Your Panel

2. Stop Your Server

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

Scroll down the Sidebar until you find the Files Tab. Proceed to open it.

4. Locate the ‘VRisingServer_Data’ file

Proceed to open it.

5. Locate the ‘StreamingAssets’ file

Proceed to open it.

6. Locate the ‘Settings’ file

Proceed to open it.

7. Locate the ‘ServerGameSettings.json’ file

Proceed to open it.

It should look like this:

8. Locate the Phrases Highlighted Below in the ‘ServerGameSettings.json’ File

9. Replace the Values of the Highlighted Phrases Below Accordingly

“LONGER DAY”: increase the value from 1000.

OR

“LONGER NIGHT”: Decrease the value from 1000.

Please refer to the note given above to understand what effect increasing or decreasing the value of “DayDurationInSeconds” has on the day-night cycle of the game.

10. Save the Newly Made Changes

Use the highlighted button to do so.
