How To Completely Disable Tank and Witch Spawns on Your Left 4 Dead 2 Server

Important!

You must have SourceMod and MetaMod installed on your server before following this guide. If you do not have them yet, check out our guides on installing them first.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Select the ‘left4dead2’ Folder

4. Select the ‘cfg’ Folder

5. Select the ‘server.cfg‘ File

6. Add the Boss Removal Command

Tanks and Witches are both classified as “bosses.” By setting the director_no_bosses variable to 1 (which means “True” or “On”), You are hard-locking the director from generating them during normal gameplay.

Scroll to the bottom of the file. To tell the AI Director to stop spawning bosses, paste the following code on a new line exactly as written:

// Disables all Tank and Witch spawns
sm_cvar director_no_bosses 1

7. Save the Changes

8. Restart Your Server
