How to Change the Enemy Bot Difficulty on Your Insurgency Sandstorm Server

Note:

Before editing, make sure your server is offline so your changes aren’t overwritten. If your Game.ini is empty, you must include the Section Header (the text in brackets) for the commands to work. If the header already exists in your file, add the command directly underneath it instead of duplicating the header.

1. Log In to Your Panel

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘Game.ini’ file

Navigate to:

Insurgency/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/

5. Edit the ‘Game.ini’ File

Configuration Element	Exact Code	Notes
Header Section	[/Script/Insurgency.INSCoopMode]	Ensure this is at the top of the block. Use this specific header for Co-op AI settings.
Command Line (Easy)	EnemyBotDifficulty=0.1	Place directly under the header. Bots react slowly and have poor accuracy.
Command Line (Normal)	EnemyBotDifficulty=0.5	Place directly under the header. The default vanilla experience.
Command Line (Hardcore)	EnemyBotDifficulty=0.9	Place directly under the header. Bots are extremely lethal, snapping to targets with high accuracy.
