How To Change the Special Infected Spawn Limits on Your Left 4 Dead 2 Server

Important!

You must have SourceMod and MetaMod installed on your server before following this guide. If you do not have them yet, check out our guides on installing them first.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Select the ‘cfg’ Folder

5. Select the ‘server.cfg‘ File

6. Add the Spawn Limit Commands

Scroll to the bottom of the file. You will need to define both the total maximum limit of all specials, as well as the individual limit for each type. Paste the following code on a new line and adjust the numbers to your liking:

// Total Special Infected allowed alive at the same time
z_max_player_zombies 6 

// Individual Special Infected limits
z_hunter_limit 2
z_smoker_limit 1
z_boomer_limit 1
z_jockey_limit 1
z_charger_limit 1
z_spitter_limit 0

7. Save the Changes

8. Restart Your Server
