How to Upload a Plugin to WordPress

If you have sourced a plugin via an external site and have a zip file, you will need to upload this to WordPress via the Plugin installer.

1. Log into your WordPress site

2. Click on the “Plugins” menu item on the left hand side

3. Click on the “Add New Plugin” button at the top

4. Click on the “Upload Plugin” button at the top, and then press the “Choose file” button to open your file explorer. Locate your plugin and upload it to WordPress

5. After the plugin is uploaded, press “Install Now” to install it onto your WordPress site

6. Once installed, you will be redirected automatically to a page confirming the installation was successful. Press the “Activate Plugin” button to enable the plugin
