How to Install Geyser on Minecraft

Geyser is a service that you can install onto your Minecraft Server. This service enables compatibility for both Bedrock and Java versions of Minecraft to join the same world together. In this guide, we are using NeoForge, however the steps are almost identical for other supported loaders.

1. Download Geyser and Floodgate for your desired loader from the official website: https://geysermc.org/download/

2. Upload the .jar files to the Mods folder (steps on how to upload files can be found here: https://cybrancee.com/learn/knowledge-base/how-to-upload-files-through-pterodactyl/)

3. Start or Restart your Minecraft server – this step will force the server to generate the required configuration files. A guide on using the server operations can be found here: https://cybrancee.com/learn/knowledge-base/using-pterodactyl-controls/.

4. Go to the Network tab on the left, and press the “Create Allocation” button. Take a note of the port number generated.

5. Edit the Geyser configuration file. This can be found on the file manager at the following location: config > Geyser-NeoForge > config.yml

This file path will be slightly different, depending on the loader you are using.

6. Replace the port value in the config file with the new port created in step 4.

7. Restart the server.

8. The server is now running Geyser and will be accessible for both Bedrock and Java players. Use the table below for help with joining the server.
