How To Upload a Custom Local World to Your Space Engineers Server

Important!

We highly recommend creating a full backup of your server before transferring or overwriting any world files. This ensures you have a safe restore point if anything goes wrong during the upload process.

1. Locate Your Local Save File

First, you need to find the world folder on your personal computer.

1. Press Win + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialogue box.

2. Type %appdata%\SpaceEngineers\Saves and press Enter.

3. Open the folder with a long string of numbers (this is your unique Steam ID).

4. Locate the folder with the exact name of the world you want to upload. Keep this window open.

2. Log In to Your Panel

3. Stop Your Server

4. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

5. Select the ‘config’ Folder

6. Select the ‘Saves’ Folder

7. Inside ‘Saves’ Folder, Select ‘Upload Folder’ Option

8. Select Your Local World to Upload

Note: Refer to step 1 to know the loaction for your local world.

9. Rename Your Existing Server World

Locate your current active server map (the folder named World). Right-click it (or use the panel options) and rename it to World_Old

10. Rename Your Uploaded Custom World

Locate your newly uploaded custom world folder, right-click it, and rename it to exactly: World
