How to Upload Your Existing Save to Your Astroneer Server

Note:

Do not include the .savegame extension when updating your Active Save Name. If the extension is included in the configuration field, the server will not recognize the uploaded file and will automatically generate a new, empty world upon startup.

1. Locate Local Save

Press Win + R, type %localappdata%\Astro\Saved\SaveGames

2. Log In to Your Panel

3. Stop Your Server

4. Select the ‘File’ Tab

5. Upload the Save File

Navigate to:

/Astro/Saved/SaveGames/

Step 1 highlights the Upload button, and Step 2 shows the successfully uploaded .savegame file within the Astro/Saved/SaveGames directory.

6. Select the ‘Startup’ Tab

7. Locate ‘Active Save Name’

Change the value to match the name of your uploaded save file (the part before the $)

Update the Save Name variable

8. Restart Your Server
