How to Enable RCON on Your V Rising Server Using ServerHostSettings.json

Note:

RCON (Remote Console) gives you the ability to remotely administer your V Rising server through compatible RCON applications. Enabling RCON and setting up a secure password will enable you to perform administrative actions without accessing the server console itself.

1. Log in to Your Panel

2. Select Your VRising Server

You can do so by clicking the “Manage server” option, which will open the dashboard by default.

It should look like this :

3. Stop Your Server

4. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

Scroll down the Sidebar until you find the Files Tab.

5. Locate the ‘save-data’ File

Proceed to open it.

6. Locate the ‘Settings’ File

Proceed to open it.

7. Locate the ‘ServerHostSettings.json’ File

Proceed to open it.

8. Locate the ‘RCON’ Configuration

Locate the following line:

9. Enable RCON

Change the value of "Enabled" from "false" to "true".

10. Set a Secure RCON Password

Replace the default password with a strong password of your choice.

11. Configure the RCON Port (Optional)

By default, V Rising uses port 25575 for RCON connections. You can leave this value unchanged or specify a custom port.

Default:

Custom Examples:

“Port”: 25580

12. Save Your Changes

Select the Save Content button to apply the changes.
