How To Kick a Player via Console on Your V Rising Server

Note:

The kickuser command allows an administrator to remove a player from your V Rising server. Kicking only disconnects the player from the server; it does not permanently prevent them from joining again. You need to have administrator access and the in-game console enabled before using the command

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Stop Your Server

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

Scroll down the Sidebar until you find the Files Tab.

4. Locate the ‘adminlist.txt’ File

Navigate to:

save-data/Settings

Search for adminlist.txt in the file manager and open the file.

5. Add Yourself as an Administrator

Enter your SteamID64 in adminlist.txt on a new line.

For example:

7651198xxxxxxx

Save the file after adding your SteamID64.

Make sure you enter the correct SteamID64, as this is what the server uses to identify your administrator account.

6. Save the Newly Made Changes

Use the highlighted button to do so.

7. Restart Your Server and Game

8. Enable the In-Game Console

Launch V Rising and go to:

Options > General > Interface

Enable Console Enabled.

9. Open the In-Game Console

Join your V Rising server and press the key below Escape on your keyboard to open the in-game console.

10. Authenticate as an Administrator

Enter:

adminauth

Press Enter to authenticate your character as an administrator.

11. Enter the Kick Command

Enter:

kickuser <PlayerName>

Replace <PlayerName> with the exact character name of the player you want to remove.

The kickuser command disconnects the selected player from the server.

12. Check the Console Output

After running the command, check the console output for confirmation that the player has been disconnected.
