How To Increase the Framerate Cap of Your Schedule 1 Server

Note:

Dedicated servers often ship with a conservative default tickrate and framerate cap—frequently locked at 30 or 60 FPS to prevent runaway CPU utilization on shared hosting nodes. Raising this cap allows the server to process physics calculations, hit registration, player input, and state replication much faster, leading to a significantly smoother multiplayer experience.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘File’ Tab

3. Select the ‘UserData’ Folder

4. Select the ‘server_config.toml‘ File

5. Modify the Performance Settings

Scroll down to locate the [performance] block (around line 44):

Change targetFrameRate to your desired frame cap (e.g., 120 or 144).

Keep vSyncCount = 0 to ensure vertical sync remains disabled on dedicated server instances.
