How To Use In-Game Admin Commands on Your V Rising Server

Note:

V Rising includes built-in console commands that server administrators can use to manage players and perform server-related actions. You must add your SteamID64 to adminlist.txt, enable the in-game console, and authenticate yourself with AdminAuth before using admin-only commands. You can type list in the console to view the commands available on your current server version.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Stop Your Server

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

Scroll down the Sidebar until you find the Files Tab.

4. Locate the ‘adminlist.txt’ File

Navigate to:

save-data/Settings/adminlist.txt

Open the adminlist.txt file.

5. Add Yourself as an Administrator

Enter your SteamID64 in adminlist.txt on a new line.

For example:

7651198xxxxxxx

Save the file after adding your SteamID64.

Make sure you enter the correct SteamID64, as this is what the server uses to identify your administrator account.

6. Save the Newly Made Changes

Use the highlighted button to do so.

7. Restart Your Server and Game

8. Enable the In-Game Console

Launch V Rising and go to:

Options > General > Interface

Enable Console Enabled.

9. Open the In-Game Console

Join your V Rising server and press the key below Escape on your keyboard to open the in-game console.

10. Authenticate as an Administrator

Enter:

adminauth

Press Enter to authenticate your character as an administrator.

11. View the Available Admin Commands

Enter:

list

Press Enter to display the console commands available on your current V Rising server version.

The available command list can change between versions, so use the output from your own server when checking which commands are currently supported.

12. Use the Available Admin Commands

Some native commands available to administrators include:

Command	Required Argument	Description
AddTime	Hours	Adds up to 12 in-game hours to the current game time.
AdminDeAuth	None	Removes your administrator privileges.
BanCharacter	Character Name	Bans the player using the specified character name.
BanCharacterTemp	Character Name, Amount, Unnamed Argument	Temporarily bans the player using the specified character name.
BanUser	Steam ID	Bans the user with the specified Steam ID.
BanUserTemp	Steam ID, Amount, Unnamed Argument	Temporarily bans the user with the specified Steam ID.
Banned	None	Lists banned players.
ChangeDurability	Amount, Equipment Type	Changes the durability of equipped items.
CastleHeartEvent	Castle Event Type, User, Castle Territory Index	Runs a Castle Heart event.

These commands are listed in the current V Rising console command reference, with some requiring administrator authentication.

13. Enter a Command in the Console

Type the command you want to use directly into the console.

Do not add / or another prefix to native V Rising console commands. Enter the command using the syntax shown by the list command and press Enter to execute it.

14. Check the Console Output

After running a command, check the console for the result.

If the command requires a player name, SteamID, or another argument, make sure the information is entered correctly. If a command is unavailable or returns an error, use list to check the commands supported by your current server version.
