How to Enable Player Map Locations on Your ARK: Survival Evolved Server

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Stop Your Server


3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘GameUserSettings.ini‘ File

Navigate to:

/ShooterGame/Saved/Config/LinuxServer

5. Edit the ‘GameUserSettings.ini‘ File

Tip: Use Ctrl + F to quickly find the required setting inside GameUserSettings.ini file

6. Understanding the Configuration

This setting dictates whether players can see their exact coordinates on the in-game map.

false (Default on Official): Hides the marker, forcing players to navigate using landmarks or crafted GPS devices.

true: Displays a “Me” pin on the map that tracks the player’s current location.
