How To Enable/Disable Knife Dropping and Manage Gun Drops on Your CS2 Server

Note:

You can apply these variables instantly without modifying your server.cfg files. Log into your Cybrancee Game Panel, open the Console tab, and type both commands directly into the command line. Type mp_restartgame 1 afterward to apply the rules to the current round.

4. Open the ‘server.cfg’ File

Navigate to:

game/csgo/cfg/

Tip: Use Ctrl + F to quickly find the required setting inside server.cfg

Command	Target Value	Description
mp_death_drop_gun	1	Controls which gun drops on death. (0 = None, 1 = Best weapon, 2 = Currently equipped). Setting it to 1 is the standard for competitive play, ensuring players can scavenge primary weapons from fallen enemies.
mp_drop_knife_enable	0	Allows players to manually drop their knife using the drop key. (1 = Enabled, 0 = Disabled). Keeping this at 0 prevents players from accidentally throwing their knife away mid-round.
