How To Remove Admin Access from a Player on Your V Rising Server

Note:

Removing a player’s SteamID64 from the adminlist.txt file prevents that player from authenticating as an administrator on your V Rising server. If the player is currently online and already authenticated, have them disconnect from the server after removing their SteamID64 so they can no longer use their previous admin session. V Rising uses adminlist.txt in the save-data/Settings folder to manage which Steam IDs can use administrator commands.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Stop Your Server

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

Scroll down the Sidebar until you find the Files Tab.

4. Locate the ‘adminlist.txt’ File

Navigate to:

save-data/Settings

Search for adminlist.txt in the file manager and open the file.

5. Remove the Player’s SteamID64

Find the SteamID64 of the player whose admin access you want to remove.

For example:

76561198xxxxxxxx

Delete that SteamID64 from adminlist.txt.

Make sure you only remove the SteamID64 belonging to the player whose administrator access you want to revoke.

6. Save the Newly Made Changes

Use the highlighted button to do so.

7. Restart Your Server and Game

8. Have the Player Reconnect to the Server

Ask the player to disconnect from the server and join again.

The player will no longer be listed in adminlist.txt, so they will not be able to authenticate themselves as an administrator using AdminAuth.

9. Verify the Admin Access Has Been Removed

Have the player open the in-game console and enter:

AdminAuth

The player should no longer be able to authenticate as an administrator after their SteamID64 has been removed from adminlist.txt.

You can also reopen adminlist.txt from the Files tab to confirm that the player’s SteamID64 is no longer present.
