How to Configure Reserved Slots in Terraria TShock

Note: Configuring reserved slots in Terraria TShock allows server administrators to dedicate specific player connections for staff members, moderators, and VIPs. When standard player slots are completely full, authorized players with the reserved slot permission can still connect without issue.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Stop Your Server

3. Access the Files Tab

Select the ‘Files’ tab from the top navigation bar to open the server file manager.

4. Open the TShock Directory

Locate and select the tshock directory from the root file listings.

5. Open the config.json File

Locate and select the config.json file inside the tshock directory to open the configuration editor.

6. Locate the ReservedSlots Setting

Locate the ReservedSlots parameter inside the configuration file.

7. Configure Reserved Slots in Terraria TShock

Change the ReservedSlots value from 20 to your desired number of reserved slots, such as 2.

8. Save File Changes

Select the ‘Save Content’ button at the bottom right corner of the editor to apply your changes.
