How to Change the World Modifiers On Your Valheim Server [+1.0]

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Turn Off Your Server


3. Select the ‘Files’ tab

4. Locate the ‘worlds_local’ Folder

You can find the folder in /home/container/.config/unity3d/IronGate/Valheim/worlds_local.

5. Archive Your Server’s World

(1) Select Your Server’s Current World.

(2) Select the ‘Archive’ Button:
This will generate a compressed file with the .tar.gz extension.

6. Download the Archived World From Your Server

Right-click on the .tar.gz file of your archived world and select the ‘download’ button.

7. Open Your File Explorer

8 Locate the ‘worlds_local’ Folder on Your PC

You can find the folder in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim\worlds_local

Make sure to replace <username> with your PC’s username.

9. Drag the Archived World File Into the Folder

Drag the .tar.gz compressed file you downloaded from your server into the ‘worlds_local’ folder on your PC.

9.1. Extract the Archived World

(1) Right-Click on the Archived World.

(2) Select the ‘Extract Here’ Button.

Once that’s done, it should look like this:

10. Open Valheim

11. Select the World You Want To Change the World Modifiers

Then edit the world modifiers to your preference.

11.1. Load World and Save

Once the world modifiers have been selected, load the world and then exit and save.

12. Rename Your Server’s Current World

12.1. Add _bak to the End of the Name

Once that’s done, the server’s current world should look like this:

13. Upload the Modified World Back to the Server

Make sure to upload the modified world in compressed RAR/ZIP format:

13.1. Unarchive the Modified World

Once that’s done, the modified world folder should look like this along with the server’s previous one:
