How to Install a Custom Map on Your DayZ Server

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Stop Your Server


3. Select the ‘Startup’ Tab

4. Add the Custom Map

Enter the map using Workshop IDs in the ‘ADDITIONAL MODS’ field using the following format:

@workshopID

You can find the ID at the end of the Steam Workshop mod URL.
Example: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1559212036

Workshop IDs Required for Custom Map

@1559212036 → CF (Required). CF must always be first

Example (Deer Isle):

@1602372402 → Deer Isle map

5. Start the Server Once (Required)

Start the server once after adding the map mod.

This allows DayZ to:

  • Download the map files
  • Create the mission folder automatically

After the server finishes starting, stop it again before continuing.

6. Stop Your Server


7. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

8. Open the serverDZ.cfg

You can find the serverDZ.cfg folder in the root server.

9. Change the Mission (Map)

Inside serverDZ.cfg, locate the template= line inside the class Missions section.

Enter the desired dayzOffline.<terrainName> value inside the quotation marks.

Example of Deer Isle:

dayzOffline.deerisle

Select the ‘SAVE CONTENT’ button.

10. Start Your Server

Start the server normally.

DayZ will now load:

  • The custom map
  • The correct mission
  • The new terrain for all players

No manual upload or FTP steps are required.
