How To Change Presets on Your Project Zomboid Server (Build 42)

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Locate the ‘Server’ Folder

You can find the folder in /home/container/.cache/Server.

4. Select the ‘Pterodactyl_SandboxVars.lua’ File

5. Configure the Preset You Want

Inside this file you can configure all kinds of sandbox game options, such as the number and behavior of zombies, loot, vehicles spawn, the duration of the day, etc.

Currently there are 4 types of default presets, which encompass different types of adjustments within the sandbox file, so you have to choose the preset that best suits your tastes.

5.1. Apocalypse Preset

This preset is the original default ‘hardest’ configuration of Project Zomboid.

5.2. Survivor Preset

This preset is like the Apocalypse one but with slightly less difficult zombies and less limited combat.

5.3. Builder Preset

This preset is ideal for those looking for a quiet experience, focused on construction and without so much combat with zombies.

5.4. Six Months Later Preset

This preset is inspired by the community. With a high number of zombies and very little loot, Six Months Later is more difficult than the Apocalypse preset.
