How to Expand a Safezone Size on Your Project Zomboid Server

1. Open Project Zomboid in Debug Mode

If you don’t know how to open Project Zomboid in Debug Mode, you can view our Enable Debug Mode on Your Project Zomboid Server article.


2. Log In to Your Server With Your Admin Account

If you don’t know how to be an admin on your server, you can view our Become an Admin on Your Project Zomboid Server article.


3. Find a Claimed Safehouse

In debug mode, you can see claimed safehouses highlighted in red.

4. Right Click on the Red Area


5. Select ‘View Safehouse’

6. Select ‘Release Safehouse’

7. Select ‘Admin’

8. Select ‘Add Safezone’

9. Define the Size You Want for the Safezone

For example, we want to create a safezone with the size shown in the image (highlighted in red), so we will define a corner A and a corner B which will serve as a reference for the area we want to create:

9.1. Position Your Character at the First Corner

When you position your character, select the ‘Redefine Starting Point’ button.

As you move, a square/rectangle will form behind your character, exactly like this:

9.2. Position Your Character at the Second Corner

10. Add the Safezone

(1) Make sure to correctly write the username of the person who will own the safezone, and (2) select ‘Add Zone’.
