How To Setup RCON for Your Project Zomboid Server

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Locate the ‘Server’ Folder

You can find the folder in /home/container/.cache/Server.

4. Select the ‘Pterodactyl.ini’ File

5. Change the RCON Port Value

Once the Pterodactyl.ini file is open, scroll down until you find the line that says ‘RCONPort’.

Make sure to change the value of the RCONPort with the one from your server IP:

In the same file, find the line that says ‘RCONPassword‘. Type the password you want and then copy it:

Then, save the changes to the file:

6. Restart Your Server


7. Download an RCON Client

Download an RCON client. Make sure to download a version compatible with your operating system.

After downloading it, extract the ZIP file and launch rcon.exe:

8. Connect to Your Server

Copy your server IP and port into the first field, then enter the RCON password you chose earlier:

Then, press the Enter key. If everything went correctly, your RCON client should look like this:
