8. Setting Permissions

Permissions

  • This plugin uses the Oxide permission system.

inventoryviewer.allowed – Lets a user access and open the Inventory Viewer.

inventoryviewer.unlock – Lets a user interact with the inventory, such as adding or removing items.

  • Assign these permissions to your admin or moderator groups using your permissions manager or the grant command:

oxide.grant user <playername or steamID> <permission>

Replace <steamID> with the player’s SteamID and <permission> with the permission you want to assign.

9. Inventory Viewer In-Game

You can use commands either in chat or in the F1 console. Chat commands require a forward slash /, but when using the F1 console, the slash is not needed.

  • Chat in-game commands

/viewinv | /viewinventory | /inspect – Opens the inventory of a specific player.

How it works:

  • Looking at a player:
Simply type /viewinv (or one of the other commands) while pointing at the player.

  • Targeting a player remotely:
If you want to open the inventory of a player you are not looking at, you must add their SteamID or in-game name after the command.

    For example:
    /inspect PlayerName
    /inspect 76561198000000000

  • Backpacks:
While viewing a player, right-click a backpack to see its contents.
Press Escape to return to the main player inventory view.
