How to Use WorldEdit on Your Minecraft Server

1. Equip the Selection Wand

To tell WorldEdit where to build, you need the selection wand. Open your chat and type the following command to receive a special wooden axe:

//wand

2. Understand the Selection Area

WorldEdit selections work by drawing an invisible box between two points. To fill an area, you must select the bottom corner on one side, and the top opposite corner on the other side.

3. Set Your First Position (Left-Click)

Fly up to your first block. Hold your wooden axe wand and Left-Click the block. Your chat will confirm that “First position set” along with the coordinates.

4. Set Your Second Position (Right-Click)

Move over to the opposite diagonal corner. Hold your wand and Right-Click the block. Your chat will confirm “Second position set” and tell you exactly how many blocks are inside your invisible selection box.

5. Fill the Area

Now that your area is selected, you can fill it with any block you want using the //set command!

For example, to fill the area with stone, open your chat and type:

//set stone
