How To Adjust Player Defence on Your Palworld Server

Note:

If you find yourself getting defeated too quickly by high-level Pals or, conversely, if the game feels too easy because you never take damage, the PlayerDamageRateDefense setting is your primary tool for adjustment. This variable is a global multiplier for the damage your character receives from all sources (Pals, fall damage, environmental hazards, etc.).

1. Log In to Your Panel

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘PalWorldSettings.ini’ File

Navigate to:

Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini

5. Find the Variable

Tip: Use Ctrl + F to quickly find the required setting inside PalWorldSettings.ini

Search for PlayerDamageRateDefense=

Setting Value	Survival Experience	Effect
0.1	God Mode	You take only 10% of normal damage. Extremely difficult to die.
0.5	Easy / Tanky	You take 50% less damage. Ideal for relaxed building and exploring.
1.0	Default	The standard balance intended by the developers.
2.0	Hardcore	You take double damage. One wrong move can be fatal.
