How to Enable Automatic Cleanup of Dropped Items on Your Project Zomboid Server (B41/B42)

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Select the ‘Files’ tab

3. Locate the ‘Server’ Folder

You can find the folder in /home/container/.cache/Server.

4. Select the ‘SandboxVars’ File

5. Locate the ‘WorldItemRemovalList’ Section

You can find the ‘WorldItemRemovalList’ section starting from line 298 within the file.

(1) Leave the ‘World Item Removal List’ Field Empty: This list contains the items ID that will not be removed if they are left on the ground, which is why this list should be empty.

(2) Enter the In-Game Hours When You Want the Items To Be Removed: After the number of in-game hours you set in this field have passed, items left on the ground will be deleted.

(3) Set the ‘ItemRemovalListBlacklistToggle’ to ‘true’: By enabling this option, the game will delete all items that do not appear in the ‘WorldItemRemovalList’ field.

Then, save the changes:
