How To Enable Looting Other Players’ Death Drops on Your Palworld Server

Note:

In a high-stakes PvP or Hardcore environment, the bCanPickupOtherGuildDeathPenaltyDrop The setting defines the “looting rights” on your Palworld server. By default, when a player dies, their dropped items are protected and can only be picked up by them or their guild members. Enabling this setting removes that protection, allowing any player from any guild to scavenge the loot left behind after a battle.

1. Log In to Your Panel

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘PalWorldSettings.ini’ File

Navigate to:

Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini

5. Locate the Setting

Tip: Use Ctrl + F to quickly find the required setting inside PalWorldSettings.ini

Search for bCanPickupOtherGuildDeathPenaltyDrop=

Setting Name	Recommended Value	Effect
bCanPickupOtherGuildDeathPenaltyDrop	True	Open Looting. Anyone on the server can pick up a dead player’s dropped items.
bCanPickupOtherGuildDeathPenaltyDrop	False	Protected Loot. Only the owner or their guildmates can retrieve the items.
