How To Force a Resource Pack on Your Minecraft Server

1. Prepare Your Resource Pack


2. Upload the Resource Pack to MCPacks.net

3. Copy the File Information

Once your file finishes uploading, look for the ‘Download URL’ and ‘SHA-1 Hash’ boxes.

Action 1: Copy the Download URL and save it for later.

Action 2: Copy the SHA-1 Hash string and save it for later.

Note: You can also copy the pre-made code block on the right side of the screen if you prefer.

4. Log In to Your Panel


5. Select ‘Files’ Tab

6. Open the server.properties File

7. Paste the Resource Pack URL

Find the line resource-pack= in your file. Paste the Download URL you copied in Step 3 directly after the equals sign.

Example: resource-pack=https://download.mc-packs.net/pack/483049f9e82…zip

8. Paste the SHA-1 Hash

Find the line resource-pack-sha1=. Paste the SHA-1 Hash you copied in Step 3 here.

Locating and editing the 'resource-pack-sha1' line in server.properties to ensure the pack downloads correctly.

9. Enable ‘Require Resource Pack’

Find the line require-resource-pack=. Change the value from false to true.

Configuring the 'require-resource-pack' setting in the server.properties file to force players to accept the pack.

10. Select the ‘Save Content’ Button
