How to Link Your Left 4 Dead 2 Server to a Steam Group

1. Copy Your Steam Group ID

Go to your Steam Group’s Admin Page and copy your group ID.

2. Log In to Your Panel


2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Select the ‘cfg’ Folder

5. Select the ‘server.cfg‘ File

6. Enter your Steam Group ID

Look for the line that says sv_steamgroup. If it isn’t there, create a new line at the bottom.

Type your Group ID inside the quotation marks.
(Example: sv_steamgroup "12345678901234567")

7. Make the Server “Exclusive” (Optional)

If you want ONLY group members to be able to join, find the line sv_steamgroup_exclusive and set it to 1. If you want the group to just “own” it but let others join, leave it at 0.

(Note: If the line sv_steamgroup_exclusive doesn’t exists, create a new line at the bottom)

8. Save the File


9. Restart Your Server
