How To Make Your Satisfactory Server Private

Important!

Before sharing or changing passwords, ensure you understand their roles. The player password allows friends to join the server as regular players, while the admin password grants full control over server settings. Sharing the admin password by mistake can let others make unwanted changes or access the server as an admin.

Changes to passwords in the server panel and In game may take up to 1 hour to apply. Allow sufficient time for the update before restarting the server.

1. Launch Satisfactory

2. Select ‘Server Manager’

3. Select Your Desired Server

4. Select the ‘Server Settings’ Tab

5. Select ‘Player Password Protection’ & Add a Password

Use a player password to let friends join your server as regular players. Be careful not to give out the admin password, because anyone with it can change server settings and join as an admin.

To keep your Satisfactory server private, you must add a player password. This allows only people, such as friends, to access the server using the password.
