How to Mount Counter-Strike: Source and Team Fortress 2 Content to Your Garry’s Mod Server

1. Install the Game You Wish To Mount on Your PC Using Steam

2. Access CS:S/TF2 Local Files Through Steam

Make sure you have downloaded the game you want to mount. Right-click CS:S/TF2 within your steam library and Select properties>manage>browser local files.


3. Log In to Your Panel


4. Stop the Server

5. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

6. Drag and Drop the Game Folders to the Root Directory of Your Server Files

For CS:S the folder you have to upload will be cstrike.

For TF2 the folder you have to upload will be tf.


7. Navigate to '/garrysmod/cfg'

8. Select 'mount.cfg'


9. Edit mount.cfg As Appropriate for the Game You Are Mounting

If you are mounting CS:S, change // "cstrike" "C:\steamcmd\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Source Dedicated Server\cstrike" to "cstrike" "cstrike" and save. Make sure to remove the // or the changes will be ignored by the game.

If you are mounting TF2, change // "tf" "C:\mytf2server\tf" to "tf" "tf" and save. Make sure to remove the // or the changes will be ignored by the game.


10. Start the Server
