How to Use the Mods Optioning Setting on Your Euro Truck Simulator 2 Server

Note:

The mods_optioning setting controls whether players can choose which enabled mods they want to load when joining your server. This can make testing easier or guarantee full mod synchronization.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Open the server_config.sii File

Navigate to: .local/share/Euro Truck Simulator 2/

Then open: server_config.sii

4. Find the mods_optioning Setting

5. Choose Your Mods Optioning Mode

Enable Mods Optioning (Players choose mods)

Useful for testing, debugging, or servers that don’t require all mods:

mods_optioning: true

Disable Mods Optioning (Force all mods)

Recommended for most servers to ensure all players load identical mods:

mods_optioning: false

6. Save and Restart Your Server
