How To Add Maps to a Project Zomboid Server (Build 42)

1. Open the Project Zomboid Steam Workshop

2. Select the ‘Build 42’ and ‘Map’ Tabs

3. Select the Map You Want To Install

4. Copy the ‘Mod ID’, ‘Workshop ID’ and ‘Map Folder’ Values

Once you have selected the map mod you wish to install from the Steam Workshop, scroll to the bottom of the mod description.

There, you will find the values for the Mod ID, Workshop ID, and Map Folder. Make sure to copy them.

5. Log In to Your Panel


5. Select the ‘Config & Mods’ Tab

6. Change the ‘Mod Manager’ To ‘Build 42’

(1) Select the ‘Build 42 (Stable)’ Button.

(2) Select the ‘Add Workshop Item’ Button.

7. Add the ‘Workshop ID’ and ‘Mod ID’

(1) Enter the Workshop ID in the ‘Workshop ID’ Field.

(2) Enter the Mod ID in the ‘Mod ID’ Field.

8. Add the ‘Map Folder’

Within the tab, scroll down until you find the Maps’ field. There, you will paste the Map Folder value you copied from the Steam Workshop.

Make sure to copy the Map Folder value before Muldraugh, KY separated with a semicolon (;), as shown in the image below:

9. Disable the ‘Do Lua Checksum’ Option

At the bottom of the page, make sure you have the ‘Do Lua Checksum’ option disabled.

10. Save the Changes

After making all the changes, select the ‘Save Configuration’ button at the top of the tab:

11. Restart Your Server
