How To Adjust Container Sync Frequency on Your Palworld Server

Note:

If your players are complaining about “ghost items” (items appearing in chests but not being usable) or if there is a delay when moving items between your inventory and a container, you need to adjust ItemContainerForceMarkDirtyInterval. This setting controls how often the server forces a synchronisation “refresh” for all item containers.

1. Log In to Your Panel

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘PalWorldSettings.ini’ File

Navigate to:

Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini

5. Find the Variable

Tip: Use Ctrl + F to quickly find the required setting inside PalWorldSettings.ini

Search for ItemContainerForceMarkDirtyInterval

Setting Value	Sync Frequency	Effect
1.0	Very Frequent	Syncs every second. Eliminates “ghost items” but can cause server CPU strain.
30.0	Default	The standard balance. Syncs every 30 seconds.
60.0+	Infrequent	Reduces server load, but players may see a delay in item updates.
