How To Apply a Sandbox Preset on a Project Zomboid Server

Important!

You can’t change the preset of an existing world on your server.

A preset defines the core rules for generating the entire game world. Changing a preset on an existing world will not fully apply its changes; a new world must be created for them to take effect.

At the end of the guide, you will have to delete the world and create a new one with the preset you have defined before.

1. Open Project Zomboid

2. Log In to Your Server With Your Admin Account

If you don’t know how to be an admin on your server, you can go to become an admin on your Project Zomboid Server article.

3. Select ‘Admin’

On the left side menu of the screen interface, select the ‘Admin’ button.

4. Select ‘Sandbox Options’

5. Select ‘Presets’

Select the preset of your choice. Then, select ‘Apply Preset’ and ‘Apply Changes’.

6. Log In to Your Panel

7. Turn Off Your Server

8. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

9. Select the ‘.cache’ Folder

10. Select the ‘Saves’ Folder

11. Select the ‘Multiplayer’ Folder

12. Remove the ‘Pterodactyl’ Folder
