How to Automatically Sort Player Chests on Your Minecraft Server (ChestSort)

1. Download the ChestSort Plugin

Note: Make sure to match your Server Version and Platform.

2. Log In to Your Panel


3. Select the ‘Files‘ Tab

4. Select the ‘Plugins‘ Folder

5. Upload the ‘ChestShort.jar‘ Into the ‘Plugins‘ Folder

6. Restart Your Server


7. How to Sort a Chest Manually

Once in-game, simply open any chest, barrel, or shulker box that is disorganised. Hover your mouse over any item inside the chest and press your Middle Mouse Button (the scroll wheel). The entire container will instantly organise itself by item category and alphabet

8. How to Enable Automatic Sorting

If you do not want to click a button every single time you open a chest, you can tell the server to do the work for you!

Open your game chat and type: /sort on. From now on, whenever you dump your items into a chest and close it, the plugin will automatically sort the entire container for you in the background! (If you ever want to turn this off, simply type /sort off)

9. Essential ChestSort Commands

/sort onInstantly turns on automatic sorting for your character when closing a chest
/sort offInstantly disables auto-sorting for your character
/sortOpens the personal settings GUI to toggle hotkeys and other sorting preferences
/sort hotkeysOpens a specific chat menu to manually rebind which keys trigger the manual sorting
/invsortInstantly sorts the player’s personal inventory instead of a chest
