How to Change the Difficulty on Your Left 4 Dead 2 Server

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Select the ‘cfg’ Folder

5. Select the ‘server.cfg‘ File

6. Add the Difficulty Command

Scroll to the bottom of your file (or a section you prefer) and type the following command on a new, blank line: z_difficulty "Normal"

7. Choose Your Difficulty Level

Change the word inside the quotation marks to set your desired challenge level.
(Note: You must use these exact code words, or the server will not recognize it!)

Easy: z_difficulty "Easy"

Normal: z_difficulty "Normal"

Advanced: z_difficulty "Hard"

Expert: z_difficulty "Impossible"


8. Save the File


9. Restart Your Server
