How To Fix “No Space Left On Device” on Your Project Zomboid Server

In this article, we will explain how to fix the ‘No Space Left On Device’ error that appears when starting your Project Zomboid server, which can occur even if you actually have storage space on your server

This error occurs because the game reads thousands of files every time you start your server. As your server progresses and the files become very large, this process collapses and erroneously reports it as ‘No Space Left On Device’, which is why you must disable the ‘backups’ that the game performs every time you start your server.

Please note that this type of ‘backups’ is unrelated to the backups performed by your Cybrancee panel, as the game’s backups will not allow you to restore your entire server if a problem occurs.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ tab

3. Locate the ‘Server’ Folder

You can find the folder in /home/container/.cache/Server

4. Select the ‘Cybrancee.ini’ File

It’s possible that this file has another name on your server. In that case, select the only file with the .ini extension that you have in the ‘Server’ folder.

5. Set ‘BackupsOnStart’ to ‘False’

Then, save the changes.
